Midterm- Celebrating 250 years of Charlottesville

For my midterm I chose three pictures that represent Charlottesville to me and a picture of the uva logo. I chose a picture of the University of Va, a picture of Monticello and one of the Charlottesville Downtown mall. I turned each picture into my own and added different effects to all of them. I wanted the pictures to have an old look to them. I put mountains as the background. My inspiration for this was being a big fan of uva. I really like the way it turned out, I think the orange mountains go well with the pictures I chose.

other photofunia picture

Review of photofunia

I chose to review photofunia and I really liked the website. It's easy to use and you can create fun pictures in just a few minutes. You can create yourself in an image with someone else like my example or have your face on a billboard. There's a ton of different picture backgrounds to choose from.

book covers

For a book I have read I chose someone like you by Sarah Dessen, it's one of my favorite books, I enjoy all of Sarah Desssen's books that I have read so far. The second book cover I made was for Lock and Key that I have not read by Sarah Dessen yet. I decided to make the covers simple, but still nice to look at, since I haven't read Lock and Key yet it was a little harder to decide what to put on the cover so I just put a jeweled lock and key hanging from it. For someone like you I found a cute picture of a couple holding hands because the book is about a teenage girl being in love with her boyfriend and losing him in a motorcycle accident.

Dr. Seuss how the grinch stole christmas

For this project I decided to do one of my favorite Dr. Seuss stories, how the grinch stole christmas and it fits because it's almost christmas. Instead of making a page from the book i chose to do a new cover for the book. I wanted to make it creative and fun like all of Dr. seuss's books, i think it turned out well.

LIFE

My favorite LIFE magazine cover is the cover with Jackie Robinson on the front of it. Jackie Robinson was a hero, and someone that changed a lot of people's lives, people looked up to him. I like the way the picture is in all black with gray and white. He stands out from the background.
